A Life Interrupted

This book is a non-fiction first person account of my battle with a severe mental illness triggered by extensive childhood bullying. The book establishes a definitive connection between prolonged childhood bullying, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the development of one of the more taboo forms of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) later in life. My most crippling OCD symptoms consisted of my mentally picturing images of bullies who had tormented me in the past. These images would soon become further attached with an unspeakable irrational fear… that they would force me to hurt my loved ones if the images were not ‘neutralized.’

Today, I am thrilled to report that I have finally regained control over my once ever so incapacitating mental illness! Though my ordeal has now reached this much better point, there are millions of other people out there who continue to struggle hard with similar issues on a daily basis. I am here to tell those fellow sufferers that this does not have to be their long-term fate. Just as I took back control of my life, they too are capable of freeing themselves from the powerful clutches of this or similar mental health issues. I am hopeful that my story will be helpful to many other victims of extensive childhood bullying who are still suffering from OCD or other forms of anxiety/mental health disorders or issues such as chemical dependency arising out of PTSD caused by bullying. Father Figure

Child Sexual Abuse is an extremely serious problem in the United States. It is clear that we must do everything we possibly can to prevent child sexual abuse and protect children who are dependent on others for their protection. It is also clear that parents and day-to-day caregivers have a lot of responsibility in this regard. However, we cannot eliminate this problem if we don’t look at what every one of us can do in addressing this serious issue. The purpose of this book is to point out that in addition to the parents and the caregivers, even an ordinary bystander can and should take a proactive role to minimize and/or eliminate the risks of potential child sexual abuse. The purpose of this book is also to demonstrate how we can work with our existing systems in preventing risks of potential child sexual abuse. Even one single episode of child sexual abuse can scar the person for the rest of his/her life. We must always try to get involved and prevent possible sexual abuse, even if it seems personally difficult and inconvenient to do so (what every ordinary citizen can and should do to protect vulnerable children in the community). In summary, the purpose of this book is to tell a captivating story that provides a lot of information to parents, children, caregivers, and to the general public that is not always readily available and that will be helpful in preventing child sexual abuse. Workplace Bullying

Bullying and harassment in the workplace is a critical issue in our society today affecting countless individuals around the country. In many cases it has caused significant distress for affected employees, ultimately leading to depression and other serious related mental health disorders. Even for the employers, it can result in several different outcomes that are typically negative for the companies. This book presents a captivating true account story that provides key information, salient advice, and guidance on what workplace bullying is, how it can impact both the employees and the employers, how it happens, what to do about it, and how to prevent it. It is important that all employees have a thorough understanding as to what kinds of things might constitute ‘harassment’ and what kinds of impact that might have. It is also critical for employees to understand what kinds of options they have in dealing with workplace bullying and harassment. On the flip side, if an organization is not able to maintain a well-established approach in this regard, it may have to deal with difficult situations that might be significantly unproductive (and/or financially damaging) for the organization.

Minority Viewpoint

This book describes a true account story about what it is like to be an ethnic minority and a person of color dealing with racism and the justice system in the United States. The author has given details on what actually happened, why it became necessary to file a defamation lawsuit against a private citizen, and what the outcome was. The author also describes his own thoughts, his feelings, and his opinions (based on this specific story) about the whole process – with specific focus on how some lawyers and law firms may behave towards their clients as well as the likely role that race played in the initial ordeal that sparked the lawsuit. The purpose of this book is to help the next ordinary person faced with the daunting prospect of having to file a lawsuit; as well as to help all ethnic minorities and persons of color stand up for their rights in a civilized manner. It provides a rare inside look into the various steps and uncertainties involved in dealing with the justice system. The author’s only intention is to communicate to the readers about what he experienced, and what he learnt from this case.
